Security guards assigned to fire watch duties have specific responsibilities aimed at preventing and responding to fire hazards. We conduct regular patrols of the premises, including all areas susceptible to fire hazards, such as storage rooms, electrical rooms, dumpster areas, and construction sites. Our patrols are conducted according to a predefined schedule that the Fire Marshall has stipulated. Officers actively monitor for signs of smoke, flames, or unusual odors that may indicate a fire. In the event of a fire or fire alarm activation, officers will initiate emergency response procedures immediately. This may include evacuating occupants, contacting emergency services, and using fire extinguishers or other firefighting equipment if safe to do so.
